A Chauvin woman who was stabbed to death at a Grand Isle beach Sunday was a generous woman who loved photography and gardening, and did everything she could for her three kids despite being an amputee, her sister-in-law said. Jennifer Dozier was at the beach near Cypress Lane around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when a fight broke out between her and her boyfriend of nearly two years, Randy Paul Marcel, of Pine Street in Chauvin, police said. The fight, which witnesses say started over drugs or cigarettes, culminated in Dozier, 34, being stabbed the multiple times in the neck and torso, said Glen Boyd, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office public information officer. Marcel left Dozier's 2-year-old son, Gabriel, with his mother's body and left the scene, police said.

In reading The Ring by Danielle Malico, I felt a connection to her as a strong woman doing something she is passionate about. Her thesis statement is well stated when she says “I, on the other hand, have first-hand knowledge of what it is like to be in the ring” (Malico, p135). Her story draws you in by describing the excitement of the crowd and the things she hears and smells before the bell rings and it’s time to focus on her competitor. Her description of how she sizes up her opponent helps to visualize the first few minutes of the fight. Although realizing her opponent is confident makes her hesitant in her own abilities but she doesn’t lose focus and continues until the bell rings ending the first round.

The movie that I believe would be a summer hit that makes a lot of money will be Wonder Women, because many people wanted Wonder Women to get a movie and after what seems like years, we finally get to see it in the theaters. Also, since an abounding group of people love to see superhero films, there will be an enormous crowd that is willing to go view it. Movies such as the new Ghostbusters, which had female actors playing the lead roles also made women interested in seeing other films that contained a female being the main character.
