Good morning to the students, teachers, staff of St. John’s, and of course, to the Class of 2016 . Time truly does fly doesn’t it! It feels like just yesterday was my first day here and now we are finally graduating and going on to high school! Like our graduation theme, “Start of Something New”, we are starting something new: high school this coming fall.It’s the start of a new chapter. High school is a time for new beginnings, a fresh start, new friends, new memories, and a new school. Looking into the future, I can see that it holds a lot of new opportunities for all of us. God has a unique plan for each and every one of us. We will carry on skills we learned from SJBS and apply them to high school and our life in the future. SJBS has prepared us to be able to conquer anything high school throws in our path. It has taught us how to be a person of faith, life long learner, socially and emotionally well-rounded individual and a physically well-balanced individual. Everyone will be going on different paths and branch out. We all have different dreams to chase and opportunities to capture. However, there is one thing that won’t change. Some of these include the 8th grade retreat, our journey towards confirmation, or just simply hanging out together. At the 8th grade retreat, we wrote affirmation letters to each others, said our burdens, said our thank yous’ and sorrys’, cried the same tears, and shared the same laughs. On our journey towards preparing for confirmation, we shared the same courage and determination to get confirmed and finish our blogs on Thursday night before the blogs were due on Friday morning. Lastly, we shared memories through simply just hanging out together . Whether it was with our buddies, or just on our own, we made a lot of memories that we hold near and dear to our hearts.
