(Response is limited to 500 words) During my 19 years of service to this great nation I have developed a wide range of skills and broad depth of knowledge in varying disciplines. Given my current assignment as the BN S3 Operations Officer I am able to rely upon my past experiences which have included a diverse array of opportunities including serving as an Active Duty Marine, a Police Officer while also serving in the National Guard as a Citizen Soldier and now with the privilege of serving on AGR. This brief took place upon the completion of training Ugandan Air-force Officers on the employment and ISR capabilities of the Army’s Raven UAS which was employed in the war on terror in Somalia. It was due to my professionalism and in part to the success of the Uganda mission that I was chosen to serve as the Aide-de-Camp for Air Force Brigadier General Eugene Haase, the Deputy Commanding General of Combined Joint Task Force- Horn of Africa. As Brig Gen Haase’s aide I was responsible for preparing speeches, white-papers, and developing talking points for his many foreign relations engagements and also with US Ambassadors in the region. During this period I began work on my Master’s degree in National Security Studies (completed in 2014) in order to develop a greater understanding of the frameworks of our national security policy. Prior to my service as a Citizen Soldier I served in the reserve and Active component of the Marine Corps where I earned a valor device for sniper operations in Al Anbar Iraq in 2004.
