Why I Desire to Serve as a SkillsUSA Chapter Officer Ever since I almost died during birth and was brought back again to the world of the living I have wanted to become a SkillsUSA Chapter officer. The fact that I wanted to serve as a Skills USA Chapter officer since I came out of the womb and have been waiting for 16 years shows how important serving is to me. For 16 whole years. My journey has been long and far, and I have finally reached my destination. EVIT. My hope is that when I am a SkillsUSA Chapter Officer, I will gain the same benefits I hoped to achieve by attending EVIT. I want to develop and grow my technical and personal skills by being a part of the Council. I also think it would be a lot of fun, and I like doing fun things like eating icecream. I love eating Icecream and with that I would love to be A SkillsUSA Chapter Officer. I think to me Being a Chapter Officer and eating Icecream are more alike then it may seem. They are very cool things to do in your free time and I am a cool person and are both an enjoyable activity and most importantly they are both something I would love to do in this time of my life. If I become a Chapter Officer I will be working with like-minded people with diverse thoughts. As Aibleen once said in the movie The Help, “You is kind. You is smart. You is important” and these words have stuck to me ever since I watched it on netflix on its release date of June 1, 2020. I didn’t know it then but it ws really a sign from god it’s mighty slef that I was closer to the goal of being SkillsUSA Chapter Officer.
