CASA stands for court appointed court advocates and is a program that has been created to stand up for children in the foster care system and to help them fight for a safe home ("National Court Appointed). The mission statement for CASA is together with state and local member programs CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every abused or neglected child in the U.S. can be safe, have a permanent home and opportunity to thrive ("National Court Appointed). I really connect with CASA because in the future I would love to either foster, adopt or both. I would love to give a permanent home to a child who has no real place to call home. At the sisterhood retreat we had a CASA advisor come to us talk about her job.
I’m interested in joining the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. I would love to join this organization, because I love what they stand for and what they have done for the world so far. They have done things as opening school in Haiti and Africa, Delta house in Africa, and many other things. One of the reason I want to join this prestigious organization is because they do stuff to better the country that I was born in, and everything that’s helping Haiti becomes a better country is something I have to at least try to be a part of. It will also help me get started with my plan on opening a youth center in Haiti.
The tan sand around the bases with the growing green grass and old worn out cracked dugouts is where I would have been. The Albany baseball diamond was where me and my friends hung out. We would hit old worn out baseballs with the leather coming off of them and run around the aged bases and sleep on the old rickety metal things they called bleachers. The school right beside it also had a playground which we may or may not have supposed to be on. Dairy Dream was just across the street with the delicious smell of hot chocolate fudge and the nose tingling scent of vanilla ice cream that filled the air.
However, if you take the time to visit and absorb everything this city has to offer you will be surprised. The rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos, and mythos are used to allow the person watching the video to get a glimpse of what Indianapolis truly has to offer. If you are sightseeing the War Memorial of Fallen Soldiers, visiting the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, or learning about nineteenth century history by visiting Conner Prairie will always leave you more knowledgeable than you already were. The happiness the video gives off makes the person watching the video want to experience all the wonders the city has to offer. Whether it is appealing to the family side of things, the sports fan that is waiting to come out, or the nighttime scene where you can eat with your family or go out and have a drink with friends you will never be disappointed.

There are multiple things to see and do at the Quad and the surrounding areas such as restaurants, boutiques, and theaters. If that is not enough, I can travel to more than sixty countries with ISU’s travel abroad program. To make matters better, the ISU Nursing program, my selected major, is one of the best in the state. Coupling the excellent Nursing program is the Student Fitness Center, also one of the best. A great physical stamina and great teaching is what will shape me into a great nurse.
City on the Mighty Mississippi “WELCOME TO DUBUQUE” might be the first thing someone reads when he or she enters the city of Dubuque. Which in my option is one of the best big, small towns in Iowa. Dubuque has a lot to offer whether that is the countless amount of views of untouched nature, the upcoming business that are being introduced into Dubuque, or the mighty Mississippi that has so much to offer. I have lived in Dubuque for all nineteen years of my life so I can say I have been around a few times and back. I would like to insight you on some things many might have other wise never known about Dubuque.
Our trip to the UW-Madison campus and the Kohl Center was very beneficial to me. I have always wanted to be a student at UW-Madison and have always been a big fan of the sports teams. So getting to see an inside look at things was pretty special for me. Also, we got to meet some awesome people that gave me some inspiration for my goals.
I want to be admitted into UW Oshkosh to help me have a better education and brighter future. My high school diploma is the foundation of my education but my college education will be the main structure for my future. UW Oshkosh will provide me with more than just a degree, it will provide me with an experience that I don’t think I can find in any other college. I know UW Oshkosh is the right college for me. I am a good student for UW Oshkosh because I plan to be an involved member of the Oshkosh campus community, I am a hard worker, and I know getting a degree is how I will obtain a career I want.
I 'm Kylie Hattery and I want really like to attend your school, Howard Health & Life Sciences High School. I hope to acquire the skills to set me on the right path for college and achieve my future goals.
A simple thank you changed my perspective on life. While I was distributing food at my local homeless shelter one lady, in particular, caught my attention. She had tears in her eyes as I served her lasagna. Seeing how desperate people were in need of assistance snapped me out of my selfish bubble and fueled my desire to help my community. I initially embarked on my volunteer journey to begin building hours for my community service requirements, but I genuinely became invested in helping my community.
Hi, I 'm Amanda Johnson, although, I prefer Mandi. This is my third semester at Lone Star and I 'm looking forward to finishing my Associates Degree then transferring to University of Texas at Austin. Rhode Island College is one of many colleges in the state of Rhode Island, located on a 180-acre campus. While walking around campus glancing at the building surrounding yourself what do you see? When giving the topic to of what improvement Rhode Island College could make to better itself, finding a problem wasn’t difficult. Taking an architecture class during high school I developed a habit of whenever I walk around a new area I tend to see what can potentially be improved within the building surrounding me. When I walk around campus I see many flat roofs that aren't being used to full potential.
When traveling the world every place has there own way of being unique. New Orleans is not an exception to this. This city is unique in many ways, however, the three ways that are outstanding to me are the style of the homes, and the people of the city, and how great their community worked together after hurricane Katrina to make New Orleans a better place. The houses in New Orleans are not the same as houses in other places around the world.
It is exactly this compact city that allowed me to know a lot about city life. I have also since discovered that city folk know very little about the world outside of their community, the greater city and the outside world. What I appreciate about growing up in a small town is that we were not cut off from the rest of the world. On the contrary, our little town gave us access to the world.
