The non-profit organization I volunteered for was Clifford O. Taylor/Kirklane Elementary School. Opened in 1970 as the second public elementary school in Palm Springs (The Village of Palm Springs, n.d.), it is located at 4200 Purdy Lane. The school does not have a mission statement, but is under the jurisdiction of the School District of Palm Beach County, which has a mission statement: “The School District of Palm Beach County is committed to providing a world-class education with excellence and equity to empower each student to reach his or her highest potential with the most effective staff to foster the knowledge, skills, and ethics required for responsible citizenship and productive careers.” (School District of Palm Beach County, n.d.)
She attended two of them and has a major in biology from the Southern Maine Community College, which makes it easier for her to connect with her audience because she knows what the experience is like. She understands that some people may rule out going to college because of the price, so it’s important for her to inform them that there are cheaper alternatives with community colleges. “ ‘College is the key,’ a young African American student writes for the umpteenth torturous revision of his college essay, ‘as well as hope.’ Oh, I wanted desperately to say, please tell him about community college. Please tell him that help can begin with just one placement test,” she pleads (Addison, 213).

The following will analyze the Saginaw Intermediate School District (Saginaw ISD) and their ability to meet the needs of those people it serves as well as those individuals they employ. Stakeholder Groups Recruiting and retaining active stakeholders increases, “Greater community support and buy-in, varied perspectives, a better understanding of the community context and an overall, more effective effort,” (Morgan, Stakeholders and Collaborators, 2018).

“College in America” Caroline Bird thinks that a college education may not be the best choice for all high school students because college education does not bring about social equality, it does not benefit them financially, and it is not guaranteed that college will lead them to an elite profession. Children who grow up in poverty are faced with a series of issues which impact their education and social atmosphere. In both the school and home setting these children lack the proper resources which they need to succeed academically. Across the country, people have begun creating programs which aim to help children in poverty succeed, despite their socioeconomic status. These programs range from after-school reading, tutoring services, charter schools, and free summer programs. All of these programs provide children with extra academic help which they may not be receiving in school or at home.
The Early College High School (ECHS) model is an innovative concept that allows a predominantly low-income, first-generation minority student population obtain a high school diploma, an associate’s degree, and a baccalaureate degree in six years. The blending of instructional approaches of a traditional high school with those of a two-year college enables ECHS students to reduce the time it takes to earn a baccalaureate degree by two years. As a result, graduates of this model obtain a high school diploma and associate 's degree in four years. The associate degree credits (about 60 hours) are then transferred to a four-year university, where the ECHS student is automatically considered a junior in college, and is able to graduate with a baccalaureate
