According to the SDSU Ambassadors page, Ambassadors are “students who are specially trained to be the official student representatives, tour guides and orientation leaders of San Diego State University”. As an Ambassador I would take my role beyond that. I want to have a lasting impact on the prospective and future Aztecs and families that I get the opportunity to meet.
With a role as an SDSU Ambassador I will hold myself accountable to being a good role model for prospective and incoming students in order to make a difference on campus. I’ve always been an upbeat and helpful person. During sports I actually would get in trouble for smiling too much or stopping and helping someone up. I would continue to be my positive and radiant self as an Ambassador. By just being myself I believe that I can make a difference at SDSU because incoming freshmen and their families will see that SDSU Aztecs are knowledgeable, fun, and willing to listen or help with any concerns. …show more content…

Because of this I got to witness the initial panic and confusion on other’s faces while trying to plan their own classes during orientation. I now want to provide students with the smoothest transition possible, ease the immediate concerns and frustrations, and introduce them to classes, clubs, or teams that they are passionate about. If a student is slightly less overwhelmed and finds a place where they feel welcome and passionate during their first year of school I believe that they will also be more likely to succeed and help others in the future, thus creating a chain reaction and a happier atmosphere on
