Why do I want to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.? I want to be a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. because when I was in high school I would go to step shows with my sister and while there I would observe the different sororities that were there. While observing I noticed that none of the other sororities had a sisterly bond like the Zetas did.
Some of the information is this article is what lead me to choose the community college. I did not have a lot of money to spend when I graduated from high school, and being able to have financial aid pay for most of my education at the community college really open the doors for me there. This was a big deciding factor in why I choose to attend GRCC. As Canning’s friend Hooton said “At least I have a little money in my pocket after tuition, and now I feel I’m ready to take the next step” (Hooton). One thing that is different here in Grand Rapids than in Utah is the parking fee is high for students.
Over my short, seventeen-year lifetime, I have had passions in many areas, from geography to soccer to leadership. Every academic institution has a set of objectives that are lined with a purpose. The purpose is to educate individuals to be well -rounded members of society. These individuals may become leaders or simply productive members of society, however it is their education that gives them the backbone to be either. Every organization has a set of goals and a mission that separates it from all other institutions as well as gives it a certain reputation in the community. The overall mission, vision, philosophy, and goals are the underlying purpose of the organization that makes it unique, Iwasiw(2015).
The top two schools for me is either the University of Cincinnati, or Bowling Green State University. Although both of these schools have the major I want, I am favoriting Bowling Green State University is the best college for me than the University of Cincinnati. Picking Bowling Green over Cincinnati is a better choice for me because Bowling green is an hour north, and Cincinnati is a three hours away from my house. In addition for picking Bowling Green, it is also closer to home. So I don’t have to drive so far from home, but when I pick Cincinnati, I will be far away from home.
I would be privileged to become part of the family at Acadia University. All the academic challenges that I may face, I am willing to overcome. I am academically fit to go to Arcadia because I currently have a GPA of 4.27, which exceeds the average GPA of most freshmen enrolled. My PSAT scores from 2014 projected my SAT scores to be around 1400. Arcadia looks at various types of SAT scores and has no specific score to be eligible to attend.

My interest in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. sparked when I met Sheila Hudson. At the time I had no idea that she was an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. What I saw in Shelia Hudson was a smart, accomplished, proficient women who completely shattered all of my preconceived expectations of what I thought a sorority girl was supposed to be like.

The college has helped me in many ways not only with my education. One example of this is I have been able to work the whole time that I have been attending classes. This allowed me to save enough money that now when I transfer to NIU in January with my associates degree, I will be able to pay for it in full without taking out student loans. This was one of my fears be for going into college was that I was going to be in debt after. ECC has helped my accomplish at least two of my goals while I was here, get a good education and not have to take out a student loan.
