Nelson Mandela once famously said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” This quote underscores the pivotal role of education, emphasizing its ability to effect positive change and shape the future. It highlights the importance of pursuing higher education as a means to contribute meaningfully to society and make a difference in the world. Currently, I am a junior attending the Charter School of Wilmington. While attending the university, I will be in pursuit of becoming a physical therapist assistant, “Penn State’s rigorous Physical Therapist Assistant program will provide you with a deep understanding of human biology, meticulous instruction in physical therapy knowledge and skills, and three fieldwork practicums in real clinics” (University of Pennsylvania). The clinics and education Penn State offers helps me develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the physical therapy field. Some may argue that Penn State is not the best college for me because its average annual cost is less affordable than universities like UD. As noted by the University of Delaware, the total annual cost for undergraduates living on campus is considerably lower for both Delaware residents and non-residents (University of Delaware). While Penn State is more expensive than UD, Penn State has significant financial aid opportunities, with over 68 percent of its students receiving some form of financial assistance.
