The reason that I, Joshua Timmerman, wrote this essay is because I want to apply to the National Junior Honors Society. There are many reasons that I should be in this wondrous society, and I will list all of them to the fullest extent that is possible. Reason 1: Social Skills. I can clearly see that social skills are fundamental at NJHS. The social aspect I can follow completely.
The National Honor Society is preeminent for recognizing students with imminent grades and honorable characters, I believe this organization makes a great impact in the community and helps in the overall betterment of the student as well. I would like to be assimilated in these community services to my school and to my community. I have heard how this club makes a person a better leader with a good character and discipline. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since the beginning of High School. To me, NHS’s four pillars are essential elements to being a member of this society.
The National Honor Society is an organization with many functions, not only within school, but also within the community. I see the National Honor Society and its members as outstanding students with exceptional accomplishments and recognitions, who have stood out from others in academic achievement, community service, and leadership. It functions to provide a distinction from other high school students for the work of those in the organization. All of its members come together to enhance the quality of our community and school as a whole. If I am selected to join this organization, I will contribute my intellect and problem-solving abilities to help the organization progress in whatever it is that it pursues.
The National Honor Society is an organization that enables high school students to help and improve their school and neighboring communities. It is an immense honor and privilege to be invited to be a member of this association, and it would be an even greater honor to actively participate and add to the existing society in ACST. Joining the National Honor Society would help me grow as a person and allow me to demonstrate the 4 pillars of NHS, in effect helping our school community and region in general. Leadership and service are both exhibited by all NHS members. This year, I have been starting to become both a silent and appointed leader in class.
I am honored to be nominated for Crestwood’s National Honor Society for the 2017-2018 school year. I feel as if I use these four characteristics every day. Scholarship is something that I take for granted. When I think of school, I think it’s easy and all it takes is doing your homework to get good grades.
As an inducted member of the organization, I would love to see the organization grow its presence and impact both within the community and on campus. I personally did not know about the Abeneefoo Kuo Society until after receiving the email and then going to the UGA multicultural programs and services page to gather more information. After reading what the society stood for I immediately knew it was an organization that I wanted to be a part of and wanted more people to know about! The mission statement as well as the specific goals of the society are positively impactful to not only the members of the society but also those with whom are served. A community service project that I would like to see added to the involvement agenda would be a leadership training day with a local school.
The National Honor Society shapes a bright future for high school kids who are willing to demonstrate service, leadership, scholarship, and good character at an exquisite level. A primary function of this organization is to generate young adults who will bring a better frame of mind to improve them and their community. Lastly, The National Honor Society is mainly high school kids, so unforgettable memories and friendships will come about this great organization. If I were to be accepted into such a great organization, I would definitely commit to bringing more positive minds in my community. As events are planned throughout the 2017-2018 school year I will try my best to attend all events in order to sharpen up my service, leadership, and
One of my short-term goals is to maintain my standing in the National Honor Society for my senior year. To keep this honor I must maintain a 3.75 grade point average in high school. This goal will be tough to accomplish considering that I am taking nine hours of concurrent classes each semester at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. It is very difficult to make good grade in college while I am still in high school because of all the extra-curricular activities I am involved in. Most college students have to go to class until noon and then they have the rest of the day to do homework or study.
As a junior in high school, I was inducted into the National Honor Society for doing exceptionally well in my academic endeavors and actively participating in volunteer events. My contributions through this organization have made a significant impact on both my personal development and my community’s support services. The numerous volunteer projects in which I have participated have prepared me to continue helping others in the future. Through projects such as building houses from the ground-up with Habitat for Humanity, I have developed teamwork skills, discovered my management potential, and increased my social network, all while working to provide services for less fortunate individuals in my community. Some
I am grateful to have encountered the National Society of Leadership and Success in my life. It is a pleasure to be the President of the San Juan College NSLS chapter. It has been a great semester so far. I truly believe in the society’s mission statement considering it has helped student members at San Juan College. My favorite event that the society has as a requirement for induction are the SNTs.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
Since entering high school, I have grown as a leader, as a team-player, as a student. Academically, I have expanded my abilities past simply completing the work; I began to dive deeper into understanding and challenge myself to push all the way through to the end. In the community, I found out how I can best utilize my strengths to help others and create a better atmosphere for the people around me. In order to contribute to the National Honor Society, I will spread my dedication to understanding so that those around me will be leaders in a unified environment.
The National Junior Honors Society could pave the way for countless possibilities in my future endeavors, whether they be in school or not. The National Junior Honors Society prides itself in the exemplification of leadership among its members in the community. A leader is someone who guides a group with the purpose of aiding
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
The National Honor Society brings beneficial opportunities to every student, and by being in cabinet I believe I will make full use of this privilege and gain knowledge of leadership essential for my future career. By running for Treasurer, I believe I would be able to utilize my previous experience as Vice President for an environmental club at my old school and introduce a different perspective with new strategies to ensure the success of the NHS. Due to my old position, I am knowledgeable in financial management and have developed organizational skills necessary for the position of Treasurer. Additionally, volunteering is something I greatly value and enjoy, and through the NHS I hope to find different opportunities for success in this field.
