For instance, when Alexander was raging a battle against Tyre, he spared the rulers lives, instead of killing them. He had a great reason to want to kill them, but he was respectful to their authority and spared them (C). Moreover, when Alexander was offered water in his helmet, he refused (D). He refused because of he put his army before himself, not because he is ungrateful. His whole army was very thirsty, and if he did not have any, his troops would not ask for any.

Freakonomics Essay Freakonomics is a mind bending, engaging and controversial look into a never before talked about side of economics. From relating the Ku Klux Klan to real estate agents and to why drug dealers are living with their moms Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner turn conventional wisdom on its head. As a whole I enjoyed the book, but there were some things that annoyed me and that I didn’t like and/or confused me. Freakonomics makes you think differently about topics you thought you already knew the answer to. To most with little knowledge of writing techniques they would not have noticed/comprehended the authors uses of rhetoric and tone but luckily from these past few years of English classes I was able to pick up and see
The film keeps the fantastical elements of the King Arthur mythos and, above all else, puts the emphasis on the classical elements of chivalry while still including some of the more contemporary elements as well. The film does make Perceval a character who is able to display chivalrous qualities by becoming a knight through display of courage and loyalty to Sir Lancelot when he is late for a duel to defend Queen Guinevere's honor. Perceval's dubbing as a knight is highly unlikely because he had no noble blood and he did not demonstrate courage in battle, but it did demonstrate his loyalty and courage to Lancelot to the King, Queen, and Lancelot which are defining traits of classical chivalry. The rest of the film, however, does a good job of presenting a more realistic depiction of how chivalry as an ideal and how it was challenged in the Middle Ages. Each knight is loyal, courageous, battle tested by participating in the formation and eventual downfall of Camelot, aristocratic with the exception of Perceval, and dedicated to the quests they were given to the point of sacrificing their lives during the quest for the Holy Grail and the final battle against Mordred.
He have showed compassion towards the little girls. Based on my experience, I once have seen this group of people was crowding around this blind girl who fell in the water and no one even seems to be running to help her. Suddenly, there’s this man who hurriedly jumped into the water and help her. Other people who just stand there and watch have the ability to help someone yet they did not show any compassion. On the other hand, the guy with no hesitation jumped into the water to save the girl.

He shows great skill throughout the story. He is good with swords. In most of the battle scenes in the book, he is always the one to kill the most of that enemy. He also shows great skill in planning. He is the one who got the key into the mountain and assumed that there is a door.
He made the decision to fight the dragon, even though he was very old and knew he had little chance of winning. He frees his people and is able to return the treasure to the kingdom. The warrior mindset he has makes him brave, and reliable for his people. He is able to keep them from danger, and to protect them. Having a warrior mindset affected the way he ruled, but for the better, he never second guessed going into battle to save his people, and he died a

Many heroes like Rostam’s king, Kavus, or Odysseus has shown numerous examples of being just. King Kavus has returned home from Mazanderan and has mended his ways of being an arrogant king. This was where he “with the sword of justice he smote the neck of sorrow, and in his heart there was no thought of death…the king grew powerful in his just ways and faith, and the hands of Ahriman were tied” (114). Kavus now has become a just king and became fair to his people. He traveled through his kingdom and gave gifts to everyone and made sure that his kingdom is stable.
He solved a huge problem for the village of Berk. People stared trusting dragons, and learning to befriend them. He didn’t give up and tried his best to come up with a solution. In the end, it was the loser of the village that brought everyone together and made it so they don’t have to kill anymore. Friendship is of vital importance to survival, if you didn’t have anyone to talk to or to relate to then you would go insane.
He completes his goal to be remembered in the minds of his people through his slaying of Humbaba and the Bull of Heaven. But, he loses his close companion Enkidu and his chance at a restored youth. He goes from being someone who throws his weight around and uses his strength to take what he wants to someone who is respected and revered as a hero by the people of his town. However, I do not see him to be a hero. Yes, he changes for the better and completes heroic acts along the way, but many things he does are done to help improve his reputation or used to show off.
