Steph Curry is a madly successful basketball player. Steph isn’t just successful in Golden State, when Steph was in high school and elementary he was also very successful. On May 2016, Curry became the first person to be named Most Valuable Player by unanimous vote in NBA history and one of only 11 players to win the MVP award two years in a row. After garnering the most valuable player award and helping the Warriors win the NBA championship in 2015 and 2017. Steph led the team to the record for the most consecutive wins in one season. In that same season the Warriors broke the record for the most games won in one season. Curry scored 286 three pointers in one season. Steph was born on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, but mainly grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. In Stephs early years he learned the fundamentals of basketball by watching and practicing with his father, Dell. Dell would also take Steph and his college team on road trips. However it wasn’t just Dell who helped Steph become an amazing basketball player. Stephs mom, Sonya was the one who taught him the discipline to train. Steph was lightly recruited by major college basketball programs many times. At Charlotte Christian School, Steph was definitely the best basketball player by ages. Steph enrolled at Davidson College. He immediately showed his skills by scoring 32 points in his second game. Steph ended up earning the Southern Conference freshman of the year honors.
