Stephanie St. Clair is known to be one of the most hardcore gangsters in the business, she brings in more than millions of dollars a year for the Harlem numbers racket. Ms. St. Clair, also popularly known as the Madame Queen, was born and raised in West Indies in Guadalupe, and she moved to the united states in 1911 when she was only 13 years old. She first moved to Harlem when she was a 15-year-old girl, thus beginning her life as a Mob Boss. Then by the early 1920s, she started to become widely known for her involvement in the gangster life. Her arrogance and sophistication are what led her to become the women she is known to be today. St. Clair is currently known to be associated with other mob members, including; Bumpy Johnson, Dutch Schultz, and Lucky Luciano. Barley escaping the southern terrorism of Jim Crow, she ended up in Harlem, and when she did she took the role of leader in a gang in New York called the 40 Thieves. They were in the business of running extortion and theft racks. The Madame Queen has involved herself in raw gang violence, such things as the St. Valentines Day Massacre. …show more content…

Parker is known well for her robberies, and associating herself with her partner-in-crime Clyde Barrow. Born in Rowena, Texas on October 1st, 1910, starting her line of crime only as a young teen. Parker’s involvement in crime and robberies started after her place of work closed, the Marcos Cafe. Including herself in all of these criminal acts led her to become famous and nationally known.
