Stephanie St. Clair is known to be one of the most hardcore gangsters in the business, she brings in more than millions of dollars a year for the Harlem numbers racket. Ms. St. Clair, also popularly known as the Madame Queen, was born and raised in West Indies in Guadalupe, and she moved to the united states in 1911 when she was only 13 years old. She first moved to Harlem when she was a 15-year-old girl, thus beginning her life as a Mob Boss. Then by the early 1920s, she started to become widely known for her involvement in the gangster life. Her arrogance and sophistication are what led her to become the women she is known to be today. St. Clair is currently known to be associated with other mob members, including; Bumpy Johnson, Dutch Schultz, and Lucky Luciano. Barley escaping the southern terrorism of Jim Crow, she ended up in Harlem, and when she did she took the role of leader in a gang in New York called the 40 Thieves.
