On January 29, 1991, a vile crime occurred in the Heikkila home in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Twenty-year-old Matthew Heikkila, the adopted son of Richard and Dawn Heikkila loaded up a “sawed-off 20-gauge shotgun” (Sullivan). He labeled shotgun shells “Mom” and “Dad”, and shot his parents both in the head. Matthew plotted the murder to get the chance to steal his parent’s credit cards, and treat his girlfriend to a birthday dinner. Matthew then left his parent’s dead bodies on the floor of his home and he and his girlfriend enjoyed a night in NYC.

The Death of Laci Peterson On December 24, 2002, Laci Peterson was reported missing from her home in Modesto, California by her parents and husband. The Modesto police began their search for Laci Peterson before the standard forty-eight hour limit to file a missing person’s report because she was eight months pregnant. John Buehler, the lead detective on her case, claims there was no reason for her to be missing on Christmas Eve. The police went to the Peterson household and questioned her husband Scott.

So, his father and stepmother, Josephine Taylor, in the Richmond Heights area of Miami-Dade County, primarily raised him. Sean played high school football at Gulliver Preparatory School, where he participated as running back on offense and defensive back and linebacker on defense.

The emotional struggles prove that he wants to believe Steve is not guilty, but struggles to do so. Moreover, his father finds it difficult to remain optimistic during the proceedings. As Steve and his father continue to talk, Steve searches for the look of “reassurance he has always seen” in his father 's face (Myers 112). His father lacks the look of reassurance because he cannot seem to understand how his son remains in jail for accused murder. Steve’s parents still feel apprehensive if their son is trustworthy.

Ray Bradbury Ray Bradbury was born on the 22nd of August 1920, he was born in Waukegan, Illinois to his Swedish immigrant mother Ester and his American father Leonard. While growing up and was in his teenage years he loved to watch horror and fantasy movies, he enjoyed the way the movies made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. In 1934 his family had moved to California where he joined his new schools drama club and meet all sorts of people including celebrities that he had befriended “Bradbury decided to become a writer at about age 12 or 13”(Ray Bradbury Biography).” When Ray Bradbury and his family had moved to Los Angeles he had gotten enrolled into the high school there and began going to school in September 1935. Bradbury learned so many knew and wonderful things at his new school, it was at his knew school where he had discovered that he had wanted to become a writer.
When it comes to his dad, he is willing to do what he can for the safety of his child. In one instance, he shot a man right in front of The Boy, because that man was trying to hurt him. The boy, however, did not understand why his dad had done this. To him, he saw that killing people was wrong, no matter the situation or excuse. He was not able to think like his dad, because he was too young, and did not have the same perspective as him.

Ted Bundy was a notorious serial murderer who’s reign of terror lasted from 1974 to 1978. Bundy was convicted of three homicides and was sentenced to death for all three charges. However, at the time of his execution, Bundy confessed to 30 murders however the exact number of victims is still unknown. Bundy’s crimes evolved over time but he was both a sexual sadist and a necrophiliac serial killer. At the beginning of his rampage, Bundy would sneak into the victims house in the middle of the night, violently attack them while they were sleeping with a blunt object and then Bundy would usually sexually assault them.
