While watching the movie 12 Angry Men, the viewer can clearly see that the jurors are all different. The differences of the jurors is an essential part of determining a verdict. When they walk through the door the jurors can not be expected to leave all of their personal biases and personalities behind. The jurors then enter with their distinguishable personalities and biases. Juror number 10 uses a lot of stereotypes to make his decisions on whether or not the accused is really guilty or innocent. Juror 10 yells, “You said it there. I don't want any part of them, believe me” (12 Angry Men). Juror 3 is also a very angry man. When everyone started to change their votes to not guilty he started to get more and more angry. Juror 3 exclaims at Juror 8 when everyone changes their vote to not guilty besides him, “Listen. What's the matter with you? You're the guy. You made all the arguments. You can't turn now. A guilty man's gonna be walking the streets. A murderer. He's got to die! Stay with me” (12 Angry Men). This is best represented by the red color of the shape. Juror 3 also is very biased. Juror 3 has a son that he had stopped talking to, similar to the accused’s relationship with his father. This made him biased because he acted like his son was the kid on trial and not the actual person on trial. When Juror 3 realizes that he is alone, and once he realizes that he is making his choices because of his son, he starts to rip up a picture of his son and say that he thinks he is not guilty. This is best represented by the lighter border on the outside of the rectangle. Juror 3 also isn’t easily swayed by opinions. It took the entire movie for the jurors to convince Juror 3, he stuck by his beliefs until he realized he was wrong. This is best represented by the rectangle because rectangles are hard to turn, but the corners are rounded because his inner emotions chipped at the corners and finally made him easier to sway.
