Throughout the entire play of Hamlet we hear from his dead father, supposedly. We aren’t given enough information to determine if it is actually his dad or his own conscious, but as far as we know it is his father. In this quote we hear that everyone “carried ghosts”. To me this is referring to the guilt of the men. They all carried around their pasts, which could relate to the use of the word ghosts.
