This Novel by Mark Twain, Called The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is Filled with Stereotypes. They range from Robbers to Pirates, and even Spirits! Some People like Huck (A poor ragged boy), Tom (the main character), and Joe ( a school mate of Tom’s) are Robbers and Pirates. The other robbers like Injun Joe (a criminal looking for revenge) and his accomplice The Ragged Man (referred to as a ragged, unkempt creature) are all examples of stereotypes in Tom Sawyer. To sum it up, There are many stereotypes that tell us how the people thought in this time period which certainly has a big effect on the story
