Have you ever wondered why women aren’t given the same expectations or standards as men are during combat training? They have the same potential as men if given the opportunity to show it. Women have the same determination, Their underestimated when it comes to the training and courage that’s needed during military combat.
Women have played many roles in military history, from ancient woman warriors, to women in combat now. No matter what year or time they were in combat the still face the same difficult problems as they did 20 years ago. Over history women have disguised themselves as men in order to have the chance to fight side by side with men on the front line.

According to 18th Airborne Corps, Lieut General Stephen Townsend, he said “It’s okay with me if there are female soldiers who qualify.” Basically saying as long as the work gets done then it doesn’t matter who does it. He also said, “anyone who can meet the standards should be aloud to serve’’.(Eden, Jude 1) 82% of women have spots open for them in the field, once again they are open for all women who can meet the standards for the training. Army training has 5 phases. Introduction, Red phase, White phase, Blue phase and lastly Graduation. During the introduction they teach you what and what not to bring during combat training. The Red phase is training and participating in field exercises while learning how to use teamwork. The White phase teaching them marksmanship training and rappelling exercises, also learning new skills and develop the skills of confidence it takes to be and become a soldier. The Blue phase is the last phase until graduation, this shows their weapon training and participate in the Night Infiltration Course. This prepares them for their graduation training. Which is Advanced individual training(AIT).
