Perhaps the most successful man in the United States is a person of humble beginnings, middles and ends. William Henry Gates III, publicly referred to simply as Bill Gates, may have been born into an upper-middle-class family, but his experience—and true beginning as an independent adult—began with the humbling experience of dropping out of Harvard. As a college dropout struggling to nurture his budding tech company into fruition, Bill Gates gave tremendous effort and innovation before finding stable success as the cofounder of Microsoft. However, even as immense riches began pouring in thanks to his hard work, Bill Gates remained humble throughout it all.
When I think of an inventor that has influenced, mirrored, and fueled my integrity for a stronger work ethic, I think of one with such precision and hardworking efforts towards innovative goals. I think of Steve Jobs. At the drop of a hat, once someone mentions Steve Jobs, people immediately recall him as “the guy who owns Apple” or “the guy who makes iPhones and iPads”. Although he is most commonly and famously known for the prestigious technology we owe great thanks for today, Steve is so much more beyond Apple.
Have you ever dreamed of driving a car through space around the sun? Well, multi-billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk did with his recent test flight of the Falcon Heavy that sent his cherry red 2008 Tesla into orbit headed to the sun. His risky lifestyle has gone from landing rockets back to earth while using his own money for development, to making underground tunnels for ferrying cars and pedestrians at high speeds just because he was bored in traffic!

My whole life I have heard it said that in order to be successful you need to go to college and get a degree. After reading the text ‘You’ve got to find what you love,’ a Stanford graduation speech given by Steve Jobs in 2005, I realized that it takes so much more than going to college and getting a degree to live a happy life. Steve was born in San Francisco, California on February 24, 1955 to a young, single college student. Since his mother put him up for adoption, she wanted to ensure his parents were college graduates so he could have a greater chance of going to college. Even though Steve Jobs was a college drop-out, he still managed to accomplish many things throughout his life.

The American Dream is attainable for everyone because you can do anything you basically put your mind to. People always talk about their hardships they had to get to where they are now today.
