Apple produces popular digital gadgets such as the iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Jobs and his fellow founder, Steve Wozniak, took part in creating the multi-billion (soon to be trillion) dollar company known as Apple. At the age of twenty, starting in his parents’ garage, Jobs sold his Volkswagen in order to gain enough money to start his new business. In 1976, the Apple 1 was introduced. This was the first microcomputer that hooked up to a keyboard and monitor. Immediately Apple was a huge success, however, after a few more inventions that were less popular than the Apple 1, the company began to go downhill. In 1983, Jobs and the board of directors, people he had previously appointed, had a disagreeance. Jobs became angry with his bosses and just two short years later, sold his shares and left the company that he had envisioned. Jobs launched another business, NeXT Computer Company. With Jobs’ business skills and his persuasive personality, Disney agreed to a three-film movie contract with Pixar. The first movie in the making was being called Toy Story. Currently, people know the movie Toy Story as one of the greatest kid movies to be made, but at the time, Pixar was struggling to make this movie successful. Toy Story took years to make, but after the film was released, it became one of Hollywood’s top one hundred films of all time. After Pixar hit the stock market, Jobs became a billionaire in just one day. He was confident in his company, and believed there would be bigger films to come. After the release of Toy Story, Pixar was a household name. Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, and Finding Nemo are all products of Pixar’s success. Without Jobs’ charismatic personality and aggressive business style, Pixar would not be the company that it is today, and movies would not be as
