Good afternoon members of IT Technology. My name is Sara Drake and I am honored to be able to speak to all of you today. I am here to make a technology proposal, which I would like you to seriously consider. I believe very strongly that technology is the force behind your company, your production, your creativity, and your successes. I also believe that the man whose creativity, designs, and innovations you use, as a company, as well as so many other worldwide technology companies, is Steve Jobs. The man was an unstoppable powerhouse of energy and genius, and while he was unconventional at times, his legacy speaks for itself. He encountered the same bumps and roadblocks that all entrepreneurs do, but it was the way he handled them that was different. In 1985, Steve Jobs was fired and replaced in his own company. He did not sit around feeling sorry for himself, he started a new company, NeXT. Apple, however, was not functioning properly without the strict and unique leadership of Jobs. Apple went into bankruptcy and if Steve Jobs had not come back as CEO, it might have been the end of his beloved company. When he returned to Apple, he even talked the company into buying his other company, NeXT (Blumenthal 128). He was extremely persuasive, as I hope I am, to persuade you to give this amazingly incredible genius a spot in your organization’s award history. I would be remiss if I didn’t discuss just a bit of his worldwide legacy. First, I think that at least half of this audience owns an iPhone.
