Apple and Microsoft have always been a technological battle, seeing who can construct better computers, tablets, and such. Behind the scenes, it was much more than technology. It was about work ethic, strategy, and important aspects of running and owning a business. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have had a long history of stealing each other’s thoughts and ideas.

Steve Jobs and Apple have always been the group who were more straightforward and passionate. First starting in 1972, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were in Portland, Oregon, where they first created the Blue Box, a device that was basically a phone. Also in 1972 they created their first computer. However, Woz still worked part-time for Hewlett Packard, so anything that he created, including his computer, was owned by HP. Back in 1975, these two men created Microsoft. They ended up doing what Apple did; creating and updating more and more computers. You could argue that Microsoft was the better company, hitting the one million mark by 1978, before Apple. In 1980, Microsoft hired Steve Ballmer to help with financial and organizational issues. The next year, Apple noticed one of their own ideas on a Microsoft computer. They sued Microsoft for copyright infringement. In 1983, Microsoft introduces a mouse, which lets you click on items on the screen, instead of typing everything. Three years later, Microsoft goes public on the stock market, rising from 21$ to 28$ in a single day. Then there was possibly the biggest milestone of all. Microsoft finally hits one billion dollars. A stepback that Gates had been in 1998, was when he was presenting Windows 98, and it crashed. In 2004, Gates was fined 800,000$ for antitrust violations.
