Steve Jobs was a revolutionary leader, he changed the world by founding Apple and creating the most successful company in the world. Jobs was very creative and innovative, he had a vision of how the personal computer would revolutionise every home and business and eventually the world. Steve Faced many challenges in his life such as being fired from apple, designing the first real smartphone and the first well-designed tablet and having his software stolen by Microsoft. In 1997 Apple was 90 days from going bankrupt due to poor decisions by the CEO at the time Gil Amelio and if it wasn’t for a $150 million investment from microsoft Apple may not be around today. In 1985 John Sculley fired Steve Jobs from Apple, in doing so he sent the company in a downward spiral. Steve Jobs was faced with the risky decision of what to do, whether he should buy a company with the money he had made at Apple or if he should get to work on a new company with the same goal in mind as Apple. Even though the risks were high, Jobs and a few veterans from Apple decided to found a new company called NeXT and create high-end workstation computers and well designed software to go along with them. When NeXT started to develop a foothold in the industry, Apple became worried that NeXT might overtake them in the PC market due to Jobs’ expertise so they sued NeXT, but they came out clean. When NeXT was starting to become more independent Jobs purchased Pixar for $5 million from LucasFilms, later selling it to Disney for $7.4 Billion. Even though Pixar was worth almost nothing when Jobs bought it, he had the vision of how successful computer animation would become and it would not have been possible without NeXT’s powerful Workstation computer, and even though Pixar has only made 14 movies to date it is still one of US’ most valuable film
