Creator of Apple, phones, and computers are three words that people think of in connection to Steve Jobs. Many people know that Steve Jobs was the creator of Apple, but he was so much more. As a creator of technology, Steve Jobs showed America that Working hard and never giving up can create something amazing. He left a legacy as the father of technology. The early of Steve Jobs was difficult. His biological parents gave him up to adoption. He was later adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. This helped Jobs because his dad taught him how to use electronics at an early age. This later inflenced him because Wozniak showed him the Homebrew Computer Club. Wozniak also showed Jobs his computer, making Jobs want to make his own personal computer. They first got the money to build the computer by selling their car and calculator. These experiences motivated him later on in life. There were many problems in the world when Jobs lived. So he decided to make a computer shop with his friend Wozniak. They called it the Byte Shop. This store allowed them to get their first real income of $15,000 which funded them to create more tech.An example of this is in 1976 Jobs and Wozniak built the first Apple computer, known as the Apple I. Jobs and Wozniak decided to change the name from the Byte Shop to Apple. These things made the duo want to create their own company and make many new inventions. Jobs also made other companies like Pixar. He made the first movie named,”Toy Story” which was a huge success. He later sold the company to Disney. Another company Jobs helped create is Next in which he started because he was phased out of Apple. The Apple later bought Next for $400 Million to get Jobs back to Apple. Because of this he became a perfectionist, and only made high quality inventions. Jobs made sure every product was worth the customer’s money. Jobs’ dad once told him, “A true craftsman uses a good piece of wood even for the back of a cabinet against the wall.” Jobs’ perfectionism is the reason why Apple is the way it is today.
Jobs also looked at products that have already been made, and made them better. For instance, the iPhone, Jobs didn’t want a cheap plastic screen, so he made it out of a more durable glass. Another example is the ipod, the portable music player, which was way too bulky to be portable. For that reason Jobs scrapped the design and made it better, by removing the power button. They figured it would turn off by itself. Jobs’ made sure everything was perfect before final production, which made Apple one of the most valuable companies in the world.
There were many mice out there, but they were way too expensive. Jobs realized no average computer user would ever buy one. So he made his own mouse and made sure every new product he made was perfect for average or hardcore users. Jobs’ remakes of overpriced or cheap products helped people find the middle of the two. His recreations of products makes them great, because if people liked some things of a product, Jobs can make it
