Steve Jobs, the Man Who Thought Different, by Karen Blumenthal, is a detailed novel of one of the co-founders of Apple Inc. Steve Jobs was an orphan, put up for adoption by his biological mother right after his birth in the year 1955. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, and grew-up in Silicon Valley. Steve was invigorated by technology, and he loved going to see neighbors and their work with electronics. However, in reality, he was a very unsociable person, who couldn’t take no for an answer. Steve was accepted at Reed College but dropped out after one semester. Lacking direction, he traveled for awhile then started dropping in on creative courses. Jobs left Atari and created Apple Corporation with Wozniak. They began selling computers, better known as the Apple 1. The Apple 1 was a big success which led Wozniak to develop the Apple 2. Now with some business uses, the computer company thrived, and it became the company’s most profitable product. With the success of Pixar, there was one company without, Apple. In the ten years of Steve’s absence, the company had lost value sharply and was on the cusp of bankruptcy. However, Jobs returns to become Apple’s CEO and began a company saving product. This was the iMac. It flew off the shelves, and undoubtedly led to Apple’s rebirth. With this success, Jobs decided to enter the music market with the iPod. This product allowed music on the go, paired with an online music store known as iTunes. All of these successes made both Jobs and the company rich, and in 2007, Steve Jobs announced one of the most important products yet. The iPhone which completely changed how cell phones functioned.
