In the film the screenwriter splits the movies into two parts to keep it as close to the novel as possible. But every Film has its differences from the book. For example in this case, In the book during Harry’s search for the lost diadem of ravenclaw. he makes an encounter with the Carrow twins. two new characters introduced to the series. during their conflict they almost rat him out to the dark lord. Giving this moment lots of drama and tension. The screenwriter decided to omit this scene as to avoid introducing two new characters which would take too much screen time as well as to speed up the pace in which harry finds the lost diadem and destroys it. Another thing that wasnt ommited or added but more of the amount of times it was used is shortened is the invisibility cloak. …show more content…

There are very few moments in the movie where they use it except during the scene in whih they break into gringotts to steal the Cup of Hufflepuff. I beleive the reason behind this is the invisibility cloak allows for alot fewer closer calls, which therefore allows for the plot to move faster as they get back to the main plot
