A Bordentown family physician’s license was temporarily suspended for prescribing up to 720 opioid pain pills a month without any physical exams or documentation of a legitimate need for the drugs, according to the Division of Consumer Affairs. The physician, Dr. Moishe Starkman, allegedly prescribed large amounts of Fentanyl, Oxycodone, and similar drugs to five patients over the course of five years. From 2012 to 2017, he wrote them prescriptions without legitimate reasons until he agreed to a suspension of his license until a hearing on the allegations with the state Board of Medical Examiners, according to the New Jersey Attorney General’s press release. “We allege that instead of providing legitimate medical care to his patients, Dr. Starkman simply wrote them prescription after prescription for highly addictive drugs without so much as taking their temperature,” Attorney General Porrino said.
when Sue Sylvester learned that Mr. shuester had killed Titan she was very upset at losing her companion Ms. Sylvester has come to our office to ask if she can sue Mr. Schuester over the death of her beloved Titan I am considering filing a claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress. Please review the attached case, Ammon v. Welty, 113 S.W.3d 185 (Ky. App. 2002), assume it states the current law on the topic, and write an analysis of whether Mr. Schuester’s conduct meets the “intent” element of a claim for intentional infliction of emotional
MILLERSBURG — Identified through DNA evidence collected from urine left at the scene of a crime, Delaware County man on Wednesday denied criminal involvement in an armed robbery of a Monroe Township couple in their home. Kevin A. Strickland, 24, who currently is incarcerated at the Toledo Correctional Institution, pleaded not guilty in Holmes County Common Pleas Court to aggravated robbery and theft. The court case of State of Nebraska v. Gary E. Heitman deals with the conviction of Heitman on charges of criminal conspiracy to commit first degree sexual assault on a minor. “Heitman contends that the evidence was insufficient to convict and that he was entrapped” (Heitman p.1) while the court concluded that “there was sufficient evidence to support the conviction” (Heitman p.1) and “further determined that the district court was not clearly wrong in finding that Heitman was predisposed to commit the crime and that thus, the district court was correct in rejecting his entrapment defense.” (Heitman p.1). I agree with the court’s rejection of the entrapment defense based upon things discussed in other entrapment cases and ideas brought up by
Litigant Henry Xavier Kennedy claims the liable decision in a jury trial for the wrongdoing of first degree fire related crime in the September 23, 1981 flame which leveled his log lodge. He guarantees that the jury charges, or now and again called directions to the jury by the judge, were mistaken in a few distinct ways and that there was insufficient proof to convict him of the charge. Kennedy 's building business was moderate, and he had two home loans on the lodge which was the building being referred to. He had restored a protection approach on the building for $40,000 days prior. Kennedy had told agents that he had a strong plausible excuse from 12:00 midnight until 4:00 a.m. which would dispose of him from any wrongdoing since he was

Perry Smith and Dick Hickock are wanted for murder, robbery, and fraud. These two murdered the Clutter family in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas at the families providence. They had thought it would be a adequate family to steal money from. When they were unable to find the money they were looking for the decided to kill them in anger and left most of the family dead. They were motivated to do so because they wanted revenge on everybody who had treated them poorly in their young and adult lives.
In September of 1961, a woman from District of Columbia had an intruder break into her apartment. While the invader of the home was there, they had taken her wallet, and also raped the woman. During the investigation of the crime, the police had found some latent fingerprints in the apartment. The police then established and processed the prints. The prints were then connected back to 16 year old Morris A. Kent.
There were many court cases that were discussed in class regarding the mob versus the individual. The most important ones were the United States v. Schwimmer, Roe v. Wade, Boy Scouts of America v. Dale, and Brown v. Board of Education. In all but one of the cases above, the Mob (the government) used its power to stop the individual from pursuing their American dream. The individual was right in all of the cases because they had the right to express themselves and pursue their dream; and the government had to right to stop them from following it. Starting with the Schwimmer case, the individual was right because the government was not giving her a valid reason as to why they were denying her citizenship.
The case Foster v. Chatman is a very difficult and unpleasant case. The case highlights the embarrassing and disgraceful episodes of the United States’ history. Racism, discrimination and prejudice have occurred, since the inception of the country. The United States’ pledge of allegiance reads, “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” This statement is a very strong declaration, when it is often said, it can lose its sticking meaning, however this pledge can be deceptive.
Scott Peterson was convicted of the murder of Laci Peterson and her unborn son, Conner Peterson. He has been on death row for over a decade as he tries to get his conviction appealed. Peterson and his family maintain his innocence, even participating in a docu-series titled, The Murder of Laci Peterson. This has caused quite a stir among viewers who now say they have doubts about his guilt. Could Scott Peterson been wrongfully imprisoned for so long because of circumstances he had no control over?
State vs. Mayfield Trial On December 27th, 1989, State Police Officer Edward Mayfield pulled over Donna Nugent to a shady area where he strangled her and threw her body off of a bridge. We don’t know why he pulled her over. He then proceeded to strangle her with a rope. I believe State Police Officer Edward Mayfield is guilty of murder in the first degree because he had and hid the murder weapon, pulling over specifically blonde women, and he changed the activity log.
Social workers have several responsibilities. They have to provide service, justice, and dignity to a client. They have to possess integrity, competence, and patience. Social workers need to possess knowledge of human rights, and how to perform scientific inquiry. Social workers occasionally have cases in which problems ensue and a solution is not found within a certain time frame.
"The State of California versus Scott Lee Peterson (Case number 1056770, 2005)", was an interesting case. This case was interesting because Laci was a very beautiful and seemingly young, friendly, and happily pregnant woman with lots of friends. Her husband, although attractive, had a kind of macho tough guy womanizer type of persona about himself. It is hard to believe or fathom someone being so cruel as to kill their pregnant wife, regardless of their marital problems. Laci came up missing on December 24, of 2002, the day before Christmas.
