I believe that Stockton University will provide the means for me to achieve success in all areas of life. The most important goal I have set is to become a nurse, which to me is a personal, educational, and professional goal in itself. Nursing is a diverse field that requires its workers to be well-rounded and caring individuals, which I consider myself to be. Attending Stockton will help me to grow as a person and provide me with opportunities and experiences that I will carry on to my future career and personal life. Helping and caring for people is something that has always come naturally to me. My family is closely knit, and I’m the second eldest of nine cousins. Studying to become a nurse and eventually working in the field of pediatrics would be an exceedingly rewarding experience.
In college I look forward to utilizing my skills and knowledge to put them into something I’m passionate about. One of my goals is to use what I already know and further build upon it to grow as not only a person, but also as a student. Education is very valuable and it’s something I appreciate and enjoy. At my technical high school, I am currently in a program studying early childhood development. I have gained experience working with children firsthand and learning how they grow and develop. This program is another part of what drove me to consider becoming a pediatric nurse.
Attending Stockton will allow me to receive a good education and college experience while not going too far from home, but going far enough to be independent and grow as an individual. My high school is rather small, so Stockton is a perfect option for me since it won’t be an overwhelmingly large campus with too many people. I do want to meet new people, but I like the idea of a smaller, more tightly knit
