1. Social story on Sam talking about peer’s interest to help her make and maintain friendships
2. Talking circle on each students interest allows for Sam and the whole class a starting point to build friendships.
3. Working in pair to solve money problems allowing Sam and her peers to build relationships.
Rationale: These strategies were chosen because these will help and allow Sam to build and maintain friendships with her peers. By having a social story to help support Sam allows her to help create an understanding of the social skill of communicating and sharing the interest of her peers. Rationale: These strategies are most relevant because this will help to create an effective learning environment that support Sam in her learning. Having a clutter free desk with only the essentials to need for the task will help Sam have less distractions and allow for her to feel she can try her best to complete her work. By having only the essentials on her desk like a printed list of the word bank the class created with animal adjectives will help Sam to have some help when trying to implement a new skill of descriptive writing. As Sam is developing a new skill in learning to write descriptive allowing her extra time to complete her work will allow for her to have that extra time that is needed for her to actually create an understand of what is descriptive writing and how she can apply it in her writing.
