One of the biggest strengths of the NCAA includes increasing college membership. Due to the tremendous amount not scholarship money that the NCAA provides to its college athletes they give many young men and women the opportunity to be able to go to college. As a result these student athletes receive a college education that a lot of low income families would not be able to afford. The NCAA gives many kids a tick to a free college education. the ticketing philosophy seems to be to extricate every last dime from fans interested in following their team, when the revenue numbers are so minuscule in comparison to the advertising revenue. That’s why the NCAA’s first weakness is the extremely high ticket prices. Unfortunately the NCAA, which is often criticized for its business philosophies, is taking advantage of this obsessive infatuation around it's product, by sticking it to fans with high ticket prices. The NCAA and its affiliates, on the other hand, can be accused as the real perpetrators of moral infractions against its “big-time” athletes. The Second weakness is the NCAA not being able to provide some basic essentials to athletes. These “amateur student-athletes” are held to professional standards and forced to place their sport before other academic pursuits, while their school benefits financially from their professional abilities.
