Regarding strengths, I realized that I have the ability to communicate personal feelings through writing. As I move into the future, I intend to fine-tune these competences. I however noted that I have challenges in relation to run-on sentences; I tend to write long sentences that are difficult to understand. By seeking the instructor’s guidance and consulting relevant sources, I plan to methodically eradicate this writing weakness. I am now able to see the areas in which I lack in but I also recognize my strengths as well. To become a precise writer, you have to take the initiatives that will help you do so. These initiatives consist of working on different academic genres, planning and organizing material, identifying purpose and audience and for revising intentionally. It is also includes reading different types of texts and learning how to understand a writer’s argument and respond to the ideas of others.
One of my strengths about writing is that, if I get something to write about I usually don’t stop typing until I’m done. I also get very focused. Another positive is that my papers are usually long, and I don’t have to worry about the minimum. Some weaknesses about my writing is that in my papers I like to talk about my horse and I usually use ‘horse slang’ that most people don’t understand. I don’t know how to tranfer my horse words to explain it to normal people.
As an eighth grader, I have learn that writing is an another way of speaking expect it’s written in paper with multiple color of ink. I realized that writing lets me express myself, made me think about myself and others, and most of all writing answer many question that I would never think about. In this year of school, I have grow great deal of improvement in my writing and find weaknesses. What are your greatest strengths as a writer? my greatest strength are brainstorm, and outlines because I can think different concept of my writing and get ideas and put it my paper. Outline help me to guide me in my writing to focus what I want to write about. For me, brainstorm is one the best strengths, and outline can be my second one for several reasons.
Self-Reflection I feel like my strength as a writer would be creativity. I can come up with a story about pretty much anything from things that could actually happen to things that are completely impossible. Another strength of mine would be my love for writing. I love writing so much that although sometimes I feel like a failure, I won’t let myself give up on it. My weaknesses though, now that is a long line.
As a writer I still have a lot to work on to become the best possible writer I can be. The skills I need to work on enable to become a better writer are punctuation, grammar, vocabulary, imagination and process. If I can improve my areas on weakness I will only be bettering myself. To improve these skills I can read different types of literally works from magazines to novels to improve my skills. Also reading an assortment of writing will widen knowledge on the different formats people choose to write in.
Before taking writing skills two I 've had a positive mindset towards writing because I see it as a way to express my thoughts. For example, whenever I feel a bit melancholy writing a short story or just free writing always makes me feel a bit better. On the other hand, I don’t believe I’m the best writer because like every other student I make mistakes in my writing. Although, I don’t take the editing negatively I always look back at my past essay and try to reflect on them to see how I can always improve my writing skills. Overall, I have a pretty good mindset towards writing even though I have my mistakes I know if I study harder I can become a better writer over time.

Another strength as a writer is i 'm good at ending my conclusions, restating my main point, and connecting my paper to my own life experience. As a writer when i 'm typing i look for little mistakes i may be missing such as periods, apostrophe and commas. My weaknesses as a writer is i but too many ideas that isn 't needed in my paper. I go off track and put things that aren 't related with what i 'm writing or trying to prove. This is one of my common errors.
Whether I now focusing on my strengths or overcoming my weaknesses, the main and most valuable piece overall is I enjoying writing. I love the thought that my words and opinions matter. Moreover, my words and writing may not matter to a huge amount of people or make a difference in the world, but it does make a difference to me. I will continue to grow as a writer; however, I will have struggles and hardships that I will overcome.
