The aim of this stretch is to get a little elasticity to the healing tissue. The stretch should be repeated twice a day in 3 sets of 10 seconds.

A discourse community is a group of people who share a common interest, ambition, and hobby; they use communication to achieve certain goals or issues that they have encountered. There are many discourse communities all over the world, and many of us are in one or more discourse communities; however, they might not even know it. In life, each person will eventually be a part of a discourse community. A discourse community has many definitions; John Swales defines discourse communities as, groups that have goals or purpose, and use communication to achieve these goals. The quotation from Wade Davis’ TED Talk on endangered cultures calls attention to a very important aspect of understanding the way human beings interact with their natural environment and consequently, how our life experiences leads to the way we express ourselves. Davis also mentions our “Different ways of being” as human beings. I found this to be a crucial point to make, given the many different cultures he mentioned
Some seniors feel intimidated by the prospect of working out in a gym, but this does not mean they can’t do regular workouts anyway. There is an abundance of workout classes and programs that may be found online. Your parents might enjoy low-impact aerobics, Pilates, yoga, or the latest dance-workout routine. If your parents used to have a particular interest in a specific kind of exercise, this might be the best type of workout for them. They could get in shape relatively quickly if they do certain workouts together at a specially designated time each day.

If the client has arthritis making it difficult for them to grip a dumbbell, then I would offer them to use an equivalent weight medicine ball. This will allow the client to participate in muscle strengthening using a weighted medicine ball to increase muscles. This also keeps in mind the principle adapting for availability because a weighted medicine ball can be easily obtained at any sports equipment store.
