JB HI-FI Home is subsidiary of JB HI-FI, which is established in 2012 and started to enter the market of household appliances in Australia. From a 3% share of the appliance market at the start, they have achieved up to around 30% of the appliance market in 2016, this makes them become one of the largest household appliance retailers in Australia (Michael & Stephen 2016part b). And in September 2016 they made a bold decision to acquire their biggest rival in the appliance market, which is "THE GOOD GUYS", an Australian electrical retail company that specializes in household appliance sales and shared 26 percentage of the appliance market(Michael & Stephen 2016part b). And this decision brings a series of benefits to JB HI-FI, because this acquisition can bring JB HI-FI annual sales of 2 billion Australian dollars (Catie 2016a), and JB HI-FI company believes that the acquisition of THE GOOD GUYS, the co-benefits from THE GOOD GUYS can add more than 12 million to 20 million Australian dollar revenue to JB HI-FI companies in three years (Michael & Stephen 2016part a).
