Leadership is something I am required to be familiar in my school environment. Instructors requires involvements of leadership even in the simplest task as following directions or doing a project. This would in short allows students to better communicated with each other. After several leadership experiences I realize that I enjoy working with other students to solve challenges together. Along with that communicating with the team rather than just simply assigning roles and demands on the group.That is a skill which I was able to developed over the course of the years. And I have grown to enjoy the role of leadership. There were several occasions which my interests in engineering brought out my leadership role.
One of the occasion would be my 8th grade science project. Our teacher gave us an assignment to create a model which allows users to process contaminated water into drinkable water in a group of four. She remarked that the winning team would be given a personal choice of prize. Immediately I began to plan various sorts of model that could be possible. Dalika would always remarked, “I have come to hate teamwork because 70 percent of the times I am stuck with people who does not know what they are doing. And 30 percent of the time of the people progressiste with distractions. And there are those who wants to be a leader by being super demanding on the rest of the team.” In many ways I could related to what she was talking about. Team work are difficult to manage, and without a good leader there is only chaos. From her personal context, I realized that being a good leader is not necessary the one who makes everyone work on the project but motivated them to do so. Otherwise there will only be a dysfunctional groups that will complied to make any good
