Cherry Hill, New Jersey – For Subaru of America, Inc, January 2017 is quickly proving to be a great omen for the rest of the year. A couple of days ago, the company announced a staggering 6.8 percent increase in vehicle sales over January last year. With 43,879 vehicle sales throughout the month, this was the best January in the history of the company.

As heartening as these results must be, they're merely a culmination of Subaru's sales momentum from the past year. The company recorded over 615,000 vehicle sales in 2016, which was the best mark in Subaru's history. In addition to that, Subaru has now enjoyed 62 consecutive months of yearly growth and eight straight years of record sales.

Speaking of good streaks, this January was also the 35th consecutive month in which Subaru recorded over 40,000 vehicle sales. Outback and Forester sales were particularly remarkable, as both models recorded their best January ever. Impreza and Crosstrek sales were also boosted when compared to January last year. Impreza, WRX and Legacy were recently honored by Kelley Blue Book, as each model won the Best Resale Value Award in its respective category.
