In the introduction of Sula by Toni Morrison, there are various details that display ideas for voices, music, landscape, people, and themes necessary to produce a film. In the beginning it described how they replaced the neighborhood with a golf course. In a movie about Sula you could of had a scene with how the landscape looked before and then slowly transition it to the new one. For music the books talks about hearing banjos and singing from the black girls. This could also be added into the movies introduction. In addition, the story describing how African Americans got in the the Bottom and where the name comes from even had a number of details.
