(75-125 words) I started my academic preparation at Community College of Denver getting my Associates of Science with a cumulative GPA of ###. While at CCD, I tested out of several courses of Math and realized I was more mathematically inclined, which only fueled my ambition to become an engineer more. After completing my Associate of Science degree, I transferred to University of Colorado Denver, and finished the necessary courses to transfer into Pre-Bioengineering program. My time working in customer service went well and I work my way up into a management position. I was responsible for a store location with 10 employees. My responsibilities included management of staff and delegation of store responsibilities as well as inventory management. I handle schedules, state reported documentation, money handling and counting, among many other tasks. This job gave me the experience of management and leadership as well as teamwork. Upon learning about the bioengineering program, I felt this would be a good way of combining my love for engineering and desires to help others in my community. I made this decision the first semester of my academic career and have pursued it passionately since. I have given up many personal pursuits in order to make this dream, a reality. Since learning about the BS/MS program I was determined to get in, as I hope to pursue project management for engineering in the future. I have found that I work well with others and can rally them to a task. I have the ability to see others strengths and enjoy finding ways of utilitize them. I enjoy teaching and supporting other. I feel getting my masters in Bioengineering would allow me to pursue my goals of becoming a project manager.
