Chapter 1 of Chasing Lincoln’s Killer by James L. Swanson is about the assassination plan of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. This assassination plan had strengths and weaknesses. John Wilkes Booth was a twenty-six year old actor who was a strong, loyal, and passionate confederate. Booth and his conspirators had a mission to take down some of the top leaders of the United States of America - the President Abraham Lincoln, Vice President Johnson, and U.S Secretary of State William Seward. In assessing this plan, which is similar to any other assassination plan, it includes good and bad situations with conspirators, location/time, and also weapons.

Dilorenzo did a very good job at expressing his ideas and opinions of Lincoln along with supporting them with legitimate facts. The author also reveals the myths of Lincoln and the true origins of the United States Civil War. Thomas DiLorenzo is economics professor at Loyola University in Maryland.

Through his own documented lectures and published papers, the author defends the idea that the Civil War was indeed a second revolution by exploring various definitions of the word “revolution” and investigating data related to the wages of African-Americans, employment, property ownership, education, etc., in antebellum and postwar America. In Abe’s later days and was in wrestling and would lose about 1 match through 300 matches. Abe lived a pretty hard life and he was in a poor family. During his childhood he lived a pretty good life and was taught well.
The Real Lincoln by Thomas D’Lorenzo is retelling the story of America’s sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln. D’Lorenzo however is taking an unconventional and controversial route by attacking President Abraham Lincoln’s presidency and political agenda overall. This concept is a struggle for most Americans because of the overwhelming positivity that people have about President Abraham Lincoln’s legacy of ending slavery and reuniting a divided country. However there are two sides to every story and D’Lorenzo does just that, causing him to take on risque theories that are explored in this book.

President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on the evening of April 14, 1865 at a play at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D. C. He was accompanied by his wife, Mary Lincoln, and Major Henry Rathbone and Miss Clara Harris, his future fiancee; the Lincoln’s were in a relatively good mood having ended the civil war. The four sat together in a private balcony box. The murderer, John Wilkes Booth, a famous actor of that play, hated Lincoln’s reforms. At around 10:00 pm, when the play was ending, Booth had walked past Major Henry Rathbone and shot Lincoln in the head. He then cut Rathbone’s arm and lept off to the stage, protecting himself and fleeing from the crime scene.

Abraham Lincoln and Civil War America is a biography that tells the life and success of Abraham Lincoln. At the beginning it talks about his life and how rough he grew up. As Lincoln grew up he wanted to learn to read and write because he was ashamed that his father couldn 't. Lincoln learning to read and write was a key factor to help him win the election and become as successful as he was. Even as a young child Lincoln claims to naturally be anti-salvory ( page 281). This is important to his stand point during the war.

Being the president is obviously not an easy task. Have you ever thought about who you thought the best presient of the United States of America was? According to a debate in Taking Sides written by Larry Madaras and James SoRelle they presented an argument between Phillip Shaw Paludan and Melvin E. Bradford debating if Abraham Lincoln was America’s Greatest President. Many people agreed and disagreed whether or not President Lincoln was the greatest; however the sides of two professors were part in the Taking Sides issue of yes or no.
Abraham Lincoln is a hero to many people for vast reasons. Firstly, Abraham has freed many African Americans from slavery. Emancipation Proclamation means to announce freedom for slaves in labour.

President Abraham Lincoln was one of the few who led the United States of America with great strength and courage. Abraham Lincoln was the best U.S. president because he had a great impact on ending slavery and he was one of the greatest natural strategists and leaders of all time. Abraham Lincoln is considered to be America 's wisest president. Abraham Lincoln, "proved to be a shrewd military strategist and a savvy leader during what became the costliest conflict ever fought on American soil."
