Prisoner B-3087 In the book i read it starts off saying how Yanek has been taken to a prison by the nazis. He wakes up in his barracks he is fifteen years old. There was no cell phones he couldn 't call anyone and there was no escaping. Each day he would work and starve and if he was caught not working he would be killed.
1- Technological advances in machine guns and tanks allowed for greater accuracy and larger explosion range caused faster deaths. 2- The soldiers were traumatized and couldn't work well when they went back to their environment. Pg 828 #1-2 1- Paul realized the soldier was still alive after their altercation.

In the result of joining the war, Paul Baumer visits his childhood friend, Franz Kemmerich with an amputated leg. When Franz dies that night Paul realizes that war can take anyone’s life. The novel All Quiet on the Western Front demonstrates a theme, war can be physically and psychologically harming. In this book it constantly shows examples of characters being harmed physically, but they also get mentally torn apart. An example of mental pain is when Paul goes on leave to visit home. He experienced severe PTSD and felt like he didn't belong there anymore because of his experiences. “I find I do not belong here anymore, it is a foreign world” (Remarque 168).

Effectively, it will help the coming generations avoid war and learn from previous mistakes. In the story, Yeh-Shen, by Ai-Ling Louie which takes place in southern China, the reader learns what comes around goes around. For example, Yeh-Shen had no respect from her stepmother and stepsister, so at the end the prince love Yeh-Shen but is not allowing them to visit. “Not long after this, she, married the king. Because of the stepmother and stepsister treatment of Yeh-Shen, the king forbid them to come too he palace.” (pg. 3)
