In the book, Brian’s winter, a young boy is going on a trip to a place where I don’t know. His pilot has a heart attack during flight and the plane goes down in the Canadian woods. The plane crashes in the water and Brian was able to escape out of the cockpit. After the crash, he was able to get into the plane and take the survival bag out of the plane. The game of survival now has him in his favor. He has lived for the past few months on rabbits and fool birds. He starts to realize that summers all most over and winter is coming. He preps his shelter, a cave like den, by making a wooden door and covering the cracks with mud to make it wind resistant. Brian is faced with a whole new set of challenges. It will teach you about survival and to keep on going. It’s a non-stop thriller and will keep you on edge. This young boy is a very brave boy who can go through any challenge thrown to him. He is an inspiration to me. He dose the impossible. He makes weapons on what he has around him and made a shelter out of a whole in the wall. I’m pretty sure if you were to read this book, you would want want to read it over and over again. I wish I could buy it but I’m broke so. Adios amigo. The things that I have learned from this book are very helpful in a survival scenario. I learned that if you need to wind proof your shelter, you can take mud and rub it on your shelters walls. The mud will seep into the cracks and harden to fill it and keep it sturdy. Another thing that I have learned from this book is that if you want to make friends with a skunk, you give her food. You never know when a pet skunk will come in handy. The last thing that I have learned is how to stay strong in those situations. You need to have mental toughness. You can’t give up on things. Think of friends and family and all the things in the world that you can do. So stay strong and don’t give
