In Chasing the Falconers by Gordon Korman, Widen and Met are in juvenile corrections facility while their parents are facing life in prison till they break out and try to find evidence to free their parents and themselves. Through the story the characters face challenges like attackers, cops, and the need of money. The readers understand that Gordon Kormen is expressing the idea that you should never give up when it comes to family. Aiden and Meg’s parents are in jail while they are in juvenile corrections facility. Since they are locked away, Aiden and Meg break out to find evidence to get their parents out of jail. Both characters are trying not to get caught for their parents freedom. Aiden said “If this isn’t suffering, then what is”(5).
