Smartest man there is. Everyone knows he outran a bull to save a baby, and another time when he ran so fast he had a dust storm behind him. It’s said that there is a long wind wherever he goes. Some people say that his greatest story was saving the quiet little town that got its water stolen by bandits. The story in which Conner and his friends James, George, and Clide saved the town. One hot and steamy day, a group of bandits came to town. The bandits were a fowl group of six men and one woman. This group has a reputation. So they stormed into town and started blasting their rifles. All the townspeople ran to their homes and shops in fear. The bandits yelled, “This town is now ours, along with all the water with it!’ The bandits took over the town and it’s water. Lucky one of those townspeople was Clyde. Now that Clide was a good friend of Conner’s, they go way back. Clide had decided that the town needed help and snuck out his bar and onto a horse, rushing to get to Conner for help. At the time, Conner was with his buddies James and George. They were in the town picking out new belts and hats. As they began to leave the shop, Clide showed up on his half dead horse. Clide struggled to get his words out “you you you, gotta help!” “SPEAK MAN!” George yelled. Clide then took his breath and proceeded to tell the men what had been going on.
