In the article “FBI v. Apple Is Really About Edward Snowden” by Ted Rall, Rall speaks about the recent conflict between the U.S. government and the electronics company Apple. He first summarizes the recent conflict, in which Apple has refused to give the FBI the code to unlock the phone of Syed Farook, the head of the San Bernardino mass shooting. The reason behind Apple not releasing the code, says Rall, is that with this code the iPhones of many other people can also be accessed, not just the one needed. Yet here in this article Rall is saying that this is much different due to one man, and that is Edward Snowden. Shouldn’t it be that with such cases such as these they should be able to have access to what they need. Instead they have to leave it up to an unreliable company, who is most certainly looking for their own benefits, to give them the information they need. It was also odd to see that this article was not about politics, as Rall was a person who was all about endorsing Sanders. It seems to be that now that the primaries are in full swing, and Sanders is currently losing, he has lost all hope. It is disappointing to see such a thing as a Sanders follower myself. I believe that anything can happen, it is possible that this is due to my inexperience in the subject, but I still think that Sanders to pull through. It’s sad to see a person who was so overly enthusiastic about Sanders all of a sudden stop writing about him, instead he turns to some controversy that has been barely spoken about. If anything I feel that this is the time that he need to show that the Democrats need to over power the Republicans at
