In the article, “Football Major, Basketball Minor?” by Ben Strauss (2015) asserts that a common situation that athletes in college engage and typically focus on practicing sports more than spend time on the general classes. Although most of colleges focus on the general knowledge and basic education, Ben mentioned that having a curriculum constructed around sports area and getting credit from the varsity sports is also considered as a good way for sports programs.
