In the essay “High Tide in Tucson” by Barbara Kingsolver depicts the main point of the essay as Human Nature and evolution. During the essay Barbara has a hermit crab show up at her home. We see the hermit crab as a metaphor. The hermit crab is characterized as a person or animal, depending on the reader, who got into an unnatural state.
