Using examples like Koko the gorilla and New Caledonian crows, Rifkin demonstrates animals' intelligence and emotions. I agree with his position and propose that we take this further by implementing an Animal Bill of Rights to ensure that animals are treated ethically. We all know that animals can feel pain and how they react to certain events, but we still treat animals this way. We should make tougher legislation in the industries that use animals and reassess choices by consumers, particularly on supporting the more humane and sustainable practice. This could also mean that people can come together as a group and make an Animal Bill of Rights to make sure that animals are treated with respect and if they are not there should be consequences.
