Sammy is the narrator of A&P. He is an 18-year-old boy that is the clerk at a store called A&P. His sarcasm and how opinionated he is shows through in the first paragraph when an older lady gives him grief for scanning an item twice and he calls her a witch in his head and thinks she has been waiting for a moment to call a clerk out for a mistake her whole life.
