Piper Grace Yerkes, born in 2000, went to the University of Pennsylvania for four years and received a degree in creative Writing and Neuroscience. She also has her Doctorate in Neuroscience. She currently is a Neurologist for Penn medicine and in her freetime writes creatively. Her writing pieces have been published in magazines, such as The New Yorker, and various newspapers. Much of her work is derived from her own personal experiences growing up and her everyday life now. Some of her popular works include ¨My Sister and I¨ and ¨Love You, Love Your Show¨. A city girl, Yerkes is inspired for “On Infatuation” through the love she sees tourist develop for the city, the love she sees people give, the love she has been given, and the heartbrakes she has witnessed.
