In “Pollution is Racial VIolence,” Yessenia Funes emphasizes the larger issue of racism linking pollution and racial injustice by explaining the different situations African Americans have experienced. According to Funes, many black families nowadays are experiencing not only threats in their homes with pollution but on the streets with police.
