In the short story, “Revelation”, written by Flannery O’Conner, the plot would have to be how everything was put into place in the story from beginning to end. In this particular story, we meet a southern belle named Mrs. Turpin. She tends to think that nothing of hers stinks, so she tries to tell a lady off, because she acted a country as they were speaking. The lady’s daughter interjects her emotion on the situation and it escalated from there. Mrs. Turpin rubbed the lady the wrong way, because she started judging people she knew nothing about and that’s one thing you should never do. Mary Grace said something to her that made her sit back and reevaluate herself. The climax is when Mrs. Turpin thinks about what Mary Grace said to her and basically when she talks to God. The conclusion is that Ms. Turpin finally understands that you can’t judge people and then act all holier than thou. It definitely doesn’t work like that. It also shows that God is a gracious God and a merciful God. He will forgive you always and forever, just as long as you don’t keep making the same choices. …show more content…

This shows what kind of Christian she was (the fake one), but she kept saying how she wanted to go to heaven. The black farm worker and Mrs. Turpin do not seem like friends to me. She is just doing it, because of her religion. She begins to hear the message and she starts to think about all the petty and crazy things she said and did to people. She knows that Jesus would not be satisfied with her
